All about HTML Wireframe
What are Wireframes?
These are vital tools for web designing. Wireframes are basically used for presenting proposed functions, structure and content of a web page or website. It separates the graphic elements of a website from the functional elements in such a way that Web teams can easily explain how users will interact with the Web site.
A wireframe is a grayscale block diagram that illustrates the overall navigation and the blocks of elements such as content, functionality, etc. that will go on the screen. It does not contain pictures and doesn’t necessarily need to link to anything. It just demonstrates what elements a web page or application screen will contain and roughly where they might go—although the location can change. It does not include visual design.
An HTML wireframe is created in HTML using a program such as Dreamweaver. A flat wireframe is created using a program such as Visio, Illustrator, or Photoshop and does not have interactive components, but is a flat image of the elements on the screen.
What does a Wireframe include?
Usually wireframes contain the following —
» Key page elements and their location, such as header, footer, navigation, content objects, and branding elements.
» Labeling, page title, navigation links, headings to content objects.
» Place holders, content text and images.
» Grouping of elements, such as side bars, navigation bars, and content areas.

What is the importance of Wireframes?
Wireframing has assumed an increased importance in recent years due to the fact that it allows one to clearly and definitively establish the requirements for a project before anyone has invested too much into it.
With wireframing, clients and developers get a crystal clear picture of what the project will deliver and what a user can expect when it comes to using the resulting site. Traditionally, wireframing sits between gathering client requirements and design. It allows clients, developers and designers to all be clear about the site structure, page structure and, to a certain extent, the functionality involved in developing the project.
In case you want a higher level of functionality than use a wireframe like Protoshare. It is a completely web based tool used for making everything right from the most basic wireframes to the most high-tech, interactive prototypes.
